Is This Hygrophorus borealis? No, it’s Cuphophyllus borealis!
I am basing my ID on the facts that these appear to be all white, non-slimy cap and stem, hygrophorus-looking mushrooms that were found at the base of a fir tree in a dense mixed forest. The key that I used to help me reach my conclusion was “Trial Key to the Species of Hygrophorus in the Pacific Northwest”

Considering past experiences I am open to any suggestions! Seems that the Globular Springtails were just as interested in these ‘shrooms as I was.
