  1. Tribe Poaphilini may also be possible. Those little, white dots next to the thorax make me think that Ophisma sp. or Achaea sp. could be candidates. Posted 4 months ago
    1. Wow, totally missed those white spots. Posted 4 months ago
    2. FB update: Achea euryplaga Posted 4 months ago
      1. Speechless that Achea was actually among our initial candidates. Posted 4 months ago
        1. You mean your candidates, and yes, very impressive. Posted 4 months ago
          1. Hahaha! Yes, MY candidates. So wrong. Should I be embarrassed or feel some other such emotion? Because I'm not. I do find it funny though, and can finally breathe a sigh of relief that the MDG moths have been properly identified because it was driving me a wee bit crazy. Posted 4 months ago
            1. Embarrassed? You should feel proud. Look at afromoths, that enormous list of genuses, and you found the right one. That really is impressive.

I'm very happy too that some got identified. Unfortunately, still only some, but that's so much better than almost none.

              1. I am very proud of my failures because they are proof that I tried. Nothing wrong with that. BUT, I love that these lovely moths are getting properly identified! Posted 4 months ago
                1. Wise words :) Posted 4 months ago
                  1. Haha, thanks...It's one of the things that I repeatedly tell my kids, "mistakes are proof that you are trying", among other things that make them roll their eyes at me ;P. Posted 4 months ago
