Spindle Cowrie - Phenacovolva poppei Called a Spindle for its slender shape, this Cowries are around 3-4 cm in length and less then 1 cm in width.  When not touched, the shell is covered in mantel lobes that has papillae.  When touched, the mantel will be withdrawn into their shells to show the smooth shell. <br />

Called a Spindle for its slender shape, this Cowries are around 3-4 cm in length and less then 1 cm in width. When not touched, the shell is covered in mantel lobes that has papillae. When touched, the mantel will be withdrawn into their shells to show the smooth shell.
