Coyote Fur I think this is coyote fur. I found it in clumps on the ground in a deciduous forest. I&#039;m not sure what happened - maybe a fight, playing, grooming, something territorial?  Dens are usually abandoned in June/July, after which time the pups follow the parents around for a bit. Maybe one of the pups got eaten? Who knows, but it was an interesting find.<br />
