  1. hi Natty,

Welcome to JungleDragon! It could be that you're still working on these posts, but I want to offer the below guidance which we typically give to new members, hope it helps!

    .....

Thanks for sharing this photo. Note that in JungleDragon, members are asked to include basic details as part of the photo, therefore please consider the following tip(s):

    - Please give your photo a meaningful title and description. You can do so using the "Edit details" button below the photo. It is recommended to include basics like the name of the species and the location in the title.

    - You did not share any location info. You are asked to at least share the country in which the photo was taken, since this helps in identifying the species. You can set the country using the "Set country" button. Even better is to geotag the photo, which you can do using the "Geotag this photo" button.

    - You did not identify the species on the photo. To identify the species, use the "Identify species" button. If you do not know the exact species, please share what you do know such as the location and family of species so that others can assist in exact species identification.

Note that by sharing your photo with more complete details, it will show up in the species browser, the global wildlife map and in search. It helps people find your photo much better, plus it delivers a far more educational photo. Check out our photo sharing tutorial for more information:

    1. Hi, When I added photo of Masdevallia hortensis (I believe) - I put species name down - then used search, which didn't find anything - not sure how to set the identify species, as if I just close the window, it doesn't save, thanks Posted 5 years ago
      1. Yes, this is possible. It means that this platform does not know the species and also english Wikipedia does not know it. In that case, we have to go for manual species creation, you can request this from the dialog. Posted 5 years ago
  2. Thanks, I had to go out. back now - cheers Posted 5 years ago
