A dense, terminal cluster of tubular flowers atop a square stem. Leaves are long and toothed.
This plant is also called Oswego Tea, referring to the use of the leaves for tea by the early colonists in America. They used this plant when regular tea was scarce.

"Monarda didyma" is an aromatic herb in the family Lamiaceae, native to eastern North America from Maine west to Ontario and Minnesota, and south to northern Georgia.
