Brookesia therezieni - 2, Pyreras Reserve, Madagascar

This is a member of the leaf chameleon family, which are found on the forest floors in very specific parts of Madagascar. They are generally small, flat and well camouflaged. Other than that, little is known about these awesome species.

The Perinet leaf chameleon

''Brookesia therezieni'', also known as the Perinet leaf chameleon, is a species of lizards in the family Chamaeleonidae. The species is endemic to eastern Madagascar. The International Union for Conservation of Nature classed the species as Least Concern. ''B. therezieni'' was initially described as a species new to science by Édouard-Raoul Brygoo and Charles Antoine Domergue in 1970.
