
Green bright-eyed frog - closeup, Andasibe, Madagascar
A beautiful endemic from Madagascar, like almost all frogs found in Madagascar. "Bright-eyed" refers to the genus Boophis, "Green" is not to be taken literally. It is often green to yellow but it has the ability to change color and can even appear brown. Key characteristic of this species is the blue outer iris.
The green bright-eyed frog, ''Boophis viridis'', is a species of frog in the family Mantellidae. It is endemic to Madagascar.
