        1. I don't know what was the previous ID, but this is a spiny-tailed iguana (Ctenosaura sp.), not a green iguana. I am not sure which one though.

          1. Oddly, there was no previous ID. And yes, there are many Ctenosaura sp. I believe it is C. quinquecarinata. It sees to be the only spiny-tailed iguana currently noted from Costa Rica.
