Haaniella echinata is a species of stick insects that throughout northern Borneo is home. It is after Haaniella scabra the representative of the genus Haaniella which inhabits the most elevated habitats in Borneo.

The animal in your picture does not show the spines of Epidares.
Besides, as mentioned earlier, shown in your picture is still a nymph, not an adult yet.
Epidares is a small species whereas Haaniella is a much bigger species.
This nymph is likely already bigger size than the adult Epidares. Posted 5 years ago
