
Dietes bicolor
Native to South Africa.
A rhizomatous perennial plant with erect, narrow, sword shaped green leaves radiating from the base of the clump. Iris-like flowers of pale yellow with orange/brown/purple blotches are born at the end of tall, thin stalks.
Also known as Butterfly Iris, Peacock flower, African Iris and Fortnight Lily.
Each flower 5 cm diameter. Plant grows 80cm high x 1m wide.
