Aphthona lutescens is a small (up to 3.6mm) Flea beetle (Chrysomelidae: Alticinae) from Europe, mostly found on Lythrum salicaria, but less often also on Roses (Rosaceae) such as Filipendula ulmaria.

It can be easily confused with other small brownish Flea beetles such as maybe Lythraria salicariae, various Longitarsus spp and Psylliodes affinis.
