    1. Hi Ferdy, there are some thoughts on this with the image posted below :-/
      Adalia bipunctata f. typica This once abundant species is quickly becoming scarce and possibly going extinct, due to the arrival of Harmonia axyridis, both as a competitor in the same habitats, but also as a vector of disease.<br />
The fact that it is commercially exploited (and hence "produced" in mass) as a biological control agent, may improve it's chances of "surviving" as a species, but over the last years I've found fewer and fewer in the wild. ''Adalia bipunctata'', the two-spot ladybird, two-spotted ladybug or two-spotted lady beetle, is a carnivorous beetle of the family Coccinellidae that is found throughout the holarctic region. It is very common in western and central Europe. It is also native to North America but it has heavily declined in many states and provinces. It is commonly introduced and imported as a biological control agent.
