Helicoverpa armigera - With green poo The green poo seems to be &quot;normal&quot;, although in other caterpillars it is often blackish-brown. The youngster in this image had been feeding on cucumber and salad for a week, but was originally found on strawberries. Below is the same animal a week earlier, feeding on strawberry and (hence?!) with red poo :o)<br />

"Helicoverpa armigera" is a species of Lepidoptera in the family Noctuidae. The larvae feed on a wide range of plants, including many important cultivated crops. It is a major pest in cotton and one of the most polyphagous and cosmopolitan pest species. It should not be confused with the similarly named larva of the related species "Helicoverpa zea".
