Malagasy tree boa - stare, Pyreras Reserve, Madagascar A beautiful specialist of about 1.5m in maximum length, non-venomous. In dutch it&#039;s named the &quot;dog head boa&quot;, I&#039;m still not sure why. It does have an unusually large head and Ive&#039; also read its infra red receptors to detect prey are unusually large. It feeds on small mammals and birds.<br />

Malagasy tree boa - stare, Pyreras Reserve, Madagascar

A beautiful specialist of about 1.5m in maximum length, non-venomous. In dutch it's named the "dog head boa", I'm still not sure why. It does have an unusually large head and Ive' also read its infra red receptors to detect prey are unusually large. It feeds on small mammals and birds.
