Tulip Poplar - Liriodendron tulipifera
The leaves are changing!
Native to the eastern United States, tulip poplar trees can grow over 100 feet tall!
Habitat: Deciduous forest
*Disclaimer: I purposely put the leaf on top of dead leaves to help it stand out in the photo...But, I only had to move it a foot or so to accomplish the effect.

"Liriodendron tulipifera", known as the American tulip tree, is the Western Hemisphere representative of the two-species genus "Liriodendron," and the tallest eastern hardwood.
Similar species: Magnoliales
