Lightbulb Tunicate - Clavelina dellavallei
In properly labeling species I have from other trips in my Flickr I jumped into this tunicate that we saw during a dive in Ustica, Italy (2010). I have some spottings from that trip in JungleDragon but it seems I don't have this one, at least I can't find it by googling my username and Italy or unidentified. So I guess I did not add it at the time because I had no ID for it and now I do so there it is, one new mediterranean tunicate species :-)

Clavelina dellavallei, the Light Bulb Tunicate, is a colonial ascidian. This tunicate belongs to the species dellavallei, while the genus Clavelina falls under the family Clavelinidae, sub-order Aplousobranchia, order Enterogona, class Ascidiacea, sub-phylum Tunicata, phylum Chordata and kingdom Animalia.
