  1. Spectacular details on this little frog! How do you protect your camera in heavy rain? Posted 8 months ago
    1. Thanks! Well in this case I actually had a lot of trouble doing so and was in a bad mood because of it. The setup included my big flash + diffuser which is not at all water proof. And the rain was severe. I was basically using an umbrella but got frustrated by it because it occupies one hand. I can carry the entire setup with one hand but I most certainly can't hold it steady enough for macro. Posted 8 months ago
      1. Ugh, sounds super frustrating. I struggle to keep gear dry just when it sprinkles, so I can't imagine how hard it would be in heavier rain.

        But, here's a solution:

        1. That looks like it can work. Somebody still has to walk next to me though. For the same reason I can't have a birder's vest. Posted 8 months ago
          1. Why can't you wear a birder's vest? Posted 8 months ago
            1. Because they look ridiculous. It's like socks and sandals but ten times worse. Posted 7 months ago
              1. Lol, oh. Well, anyone willing to wear socks and sandals obviously doesn't mind looking ridiculous anyway. Posted 7 months ago
                1. Why are all things comfortable so unattractive? Posted 7 months ago
                  1. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I think that someone wearing an umbrella hat would exude confidence. Although, with your height, you might damage the forest canopy if you tried it. Posted 7 months ago
