Globe-horned Chameleon My best guess is that this is a Globe-horned chameleon. Clearly it has a horn-style nose, but unfortunately chameleon identification often is not that easy. This one was captured in a reptile zoo called "Pyreras Reserve". I particularly like the green and black striped eye. My best guess is that this is a Globe-horned chameleon. Clearly it has a horn-style nose, but unfortunately chameleon identification often is not that easy. This one was captured in a reptile zoo called "Pyreras Reserve". I particularly like the green and black striped eye.

The Globe-horned chameleon is a large species of chameleon that is endemic to isolated pockets of humid primary forest in eastern and south eastern Madagascar. It is listed on CITES Appendix II, meaning that trade in this species is regulated.
