Forest at base of talus slope

Trees growing on and among moss-covered rocks and boulders at the base of a talus slope.

Moss species: Pleurozium schreberi, Hylocomium splendens, Ptilium crista-castrensis, Sphagnum spp.
Ferns: Polypodium virginianum, Gymnocarpium jessoense
Trees: Picea mariana, Picea glauca, Abies balsamea, Populus tremuloides, Betula papyrifera
