Giant scorpion on the prowl This species is only known from Yala National Park, from which it apparently gets its name. I say "apparently" because the name is spelled "yaleensis" rather than "yalaensis", and the 2019 paper that described this species says it is from "Yale National Park", which must be a misspelling, no? So, sadly, I fear that its scientific name is based on a misspelling. I have tried to make up for that here by inventing a common name that is not misspelled.
