
Microscopic Oecobius navus
Oecobius navus is so small that it is often mistaken for a speck of dust!
This one is walking along the very thin edge of a slat of one of my cedar venetion blinds. These spiders build flat webs with lateral openings under rocks, on ceilings and around the corners of walls.

"Oecobius navus" is a small cosmopolitan cribellate spider species of about 2-3mm. It is light grey with darkly annulated legs. It builds flat webs with lateral openings with a diameter of about 3 cm under rocks, on ceilings and along the corners of walls with protruding signaling threads.
