Gephyromantis ceratophrys 3 - front, Ranomafana, Madagascar

Another observation of this highly variable species which we found several times in a row. Included is a size reference where the frog is on our guide's hand.

  Yes it does, and that's one of the keys for identification. This species is so variable in color and patterns that you basically have to dismiss it and just look at the body shape itself. I've now shared 4 wildly different looking frogs, all of this same species. The coming 3 individuals (which I will post later this week) are also of the same species, again looking much different. And then there's about 6 more which I still have to check, but could be the same species as well. Posted 6 years ago
