A very slender Sri Lanka Coral Snake Like all coral snakes, this is a species with dangerously toxic venom. However, this particular species is so small and thin that there's basically no chance that it could bite a human. At least, that's what my guide told me as he manipulated the little guy repeatedly to try to get it to sit still for a photo. 1. What do you mean with "small" venom? Does it mean highly concentrated? Posted 5 years ago

''Calliophis melanurus'', commonly known as the Indian Coral Snake, is a species of venomous elapid snake endemic to the Indian subcontinent and Sri Lanka. The subspecies in Sri Lanka, unsurprisingly called the Sri Lanka Coral Snake, is Calliophis melanurus sinhaleyus.
