
Halyomorpha halys
Being a very recent arrival in the Netherlands this was one of the first twenty or so registered observations, but expansion is swift with ample evidence of procreation in the Netherlands too, especially this last summer (2019).
I was somewhat (pleasantly) surprised to find this one in a hollow wall that I took down while doing some construction work - already seeking out a spot to hide for winter in august?

The brown marmorated stink bug is an insect in the family Pentatomidae, native to China, Japan, and other Asian regions. It is now established in many parts of North America, and has recently become established in Europe and South America.
