Close-up of a Knuckles Bent-toed Gecko
First we hiked up a long trail to the top of some rocky cliffs, and peered over various death-defying precipices looking for this species. We found one and got medium-distance photos. Then we hiked back to our car, parked in the visitor center parking lot, and found this one on the wall of the visitor center.

''Cyrtodactylus soba'', also known as the Dumbara bent-toed gecko or Knuckles bent-toed gecko, is a species of gecko endemic to the Knuckles mountain range on the island of Sri Lanka.
