Red-chested cuckoo Not the best photo but this little beauty has been eluding me for  weeks. This morning I spotted him high up on a dead tree. Leaning out of my bathroom window and stretching my poor little zoom to its max, I managed to get this. At least it is another new specie!!! The Red-chested Cuckoo is a species of cuckoo in the Cuculidae family. It is a medium-sized bird, found in Africa south of the Sahara. In Afrikaans, it is known as "Piet-my-vrou", after its call.
