  1. Very cool shot! Its feet are so unique! Maybe it's just the photo, but it looks like the front feet have two, fused outer toes, while the back feet have three, fused outer toes. But, both front and back feet look like they have two, fused inner toes per foot. Weird! Does this make sense? Posted 5 years ago, modified 5 years ago

The brown leaf chameleon (Brookesia superciliaris) is, like other Brookesia species, a master of disguise. Its elongate, rather high, laterally squashed body resembles a rolled-up, dead leaf. The size and appearance of this chameleon varies considerably over its relatively vast range, and it may be any shade of brown, beige, grey, olive, green, or dark red, but usually display colours and patterns that mimic a dead leaf. Despite its tiny size, the brown leaf chameleon has an imposing appearance.. more
