Cap: ~8 cm wide; convex, shallowly sunken; bright red with yellow blotches; bumpy margin
Flesh: White and crumbly
Gills: White, attached, fragile
Stem: White, chalky, snaps cleanly

Taste: Mild
Habitat: Scattered, growing on the ground under oak in a mixed forest with lots of hemlock and birch.
