
Baobab Amoureux, Madagascar
Near the famous Avenue of the Baobabs (which features the Adansonia grandidieri baobab species) are two legendary Baobab specimens of the Adamsonia za species.
Both are known as Baobab Amoureux or Love Baobab. Their names comes from their unusual split trunk which have then intertwined into an intimate and permanent hug.
Adamsonia za can grow up to 40m tall and 6m in diameter.
