Celebes crested macaque - Macaca nigra

Tangkoko, Sulawesi.
This young Celebes Crested Macaque seems to be thinking "who would come to Sulawesi and not come to see us in Tangkoko??" and he is right! I could not miss this wonderful endemic macaque species. We found a group in the Tangkoko National Park, very close to the beach of the park in the north of the island. Youngsters playing, moms with babies and dominant males a bit wounded from fighting with each other. They seemed to be used to see humans and I had to be careful for my belongings while making pictures as they came from the branches above, right behind me ..hilarious moment!
