Brilliant blue, Antananarivo, Madagascar Chased this one for a solid 30 minutes but it would not work with me. It would fly, land, flap its wings once or twice and then rest with the wings open. Chased this one for a solid 30 minutes but it would not work with me. It would fly, land, flap its wings once or twice and then rest with the wings open. This is the best I could do in showing their beautiful upper wings.

"Junonia rhadama", the brilliant blue, is a butterfly in the family Nymphalidae. It is found on Madagascar, Mauritius, Rodrigues, Réunion, the Comoros, and the Seychelles. The habitat consists of transformed grasslands and Anthropogenic biomeanthropogenic environments.
