Dusky Arion Slugs (Mating) - Arion subfuscus Arion slugs are hermaphrodites, and they can reproduce either by self- or cross-fertilization, depending upon conditions. When two slugs mate with each other, they exchange sperm with their protruding genitalia. If their sex organs become entangled, the slugs will simply bite them off in order to free themselves.           It was so high! You know how fascinated I am by mating and mating rituals in nature. Sadly, while this was interesting to see, it was also really boring. I sat and watched them for a few minutes, yet the did not move at all. It looked more like they were asleep. Posted 6 years ago

              That's about how exciting watching them mate was. Although, I think it would have been more interesting to see them at the beginning of their sex session, to see how it gets started and how that "penis crystal ball" thing gets formed between them.
