Not just common to occur, also very common to see as it&#039;s not a shy bird. It regularly perches within 5-10m range and from that distance, does not easily flee. It&#039;s a poser.<br />
<br />
There are 3 sub species, which can be recognized by plumage. This is likely the C. Pica sub species.<br />

The Madagascar Magpie-Robin is a species of bird in the Muscicapidae family. It is endemic to Madagascar. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests and subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.
