
Pandora sphinx - Eumorpha pandorus
This moth insisted on chilling out on my hand (and peeing on me) as I tried to take photos of other moths.
TL: ~ 6 cm. Pale green forewings had a complex pattern of darker green patches and pink veins extending through the subterminal area. Thorax was pale green with dark tegulae. Hosts: grape, Virginia creeper.
Habitat: Attracted to a 395 nm LED light in a rural area

The Pandora sphinx moth, also called the Pandorus Sphinx Moth, is a North American moth in the Sphingidae family. It is a large, greenish gray moth with darker patches and pink edges and small pink eyespots.
