Photo taken in the Eastern Highlands of Papua New Guinea. I found very little information about this moth or if it even is a Dung Moth. Any help is welcome!
Nice!!! I looked it up, and think it's Milionia sp., possibly Milionia aetheria. I've identified it as such for now, but can correct it if the species turns out to be different.

I'm not trained in classification but it didn't completely match any of the pictures of Milionia aetheria that I found. So let's pretend for a minute that we've found a new species. How would one know? Can we name it Mothidae Matthewdae?

Yeah, it may or may not be that species. I'm being vague because I can't tell 100% without seeing the top side of the wings. But, hey, let's pretend it is a new species. I'm fairly certain that it's frowned upon to name a new species after yourself. But, you could name it after your wife or come up with some other clever and unique species name. But, if you did name it after yourself, Milionia matti would be taxonomically correct, I thinketh.
