
Lunate Zale - Zale lunata
WS: ~50 mm. Brownish purple forewings had a bark-like pattern of thin, wavy, black lines. Double ST line was boldest from the midpoint of the outer margin to the inner margin. Whitish blue bands at AM and ST lines.
Habitat: Attracted to a 395 nm LED light in a semi-rural area

The Lunate Zale is a species of moth of the family Noctuidae. It is found in the East of North America. The wingspan is 40–55 mm. The moth flies from March to September depending on the location. The larvae feed on various deciduous trees, such as Maple, Willow and Prunus.
