
Sigmoid prominent - Clostera albosigma
TL: ~18 mm. Brown FW with pale, parallel lines. Chestnut subapical patch extends beyond white, S-shaped outer PM line. Outer half of ST area is shaded with violet gray. Hosts: Aspen, poplar, and willow.
Habitat: Attracted to a 395 nm LED light in a semi-rural area
''Clostera albosigma'', the sigmoid prominent, is a moth of the family Notodontidae. It is found from Newfoundland west to Vancouver Island, north to the Great Slave Lake and the Northwest Territories and south to at least Missouri.
The wingspan is 28–38 mm. The moth flies from May to August depending on the location.
The larvae feed on Poplar and Willow.
