Northern Water Snake - Nerodia sipedon Dark gray snake with faint bands. Strongly keeled dorsum. They have a pattern of reddish brown bands on their venter. Not only was this snake huge and gorgeous, but it was perfectly posed on a rotting tree with extensive beetle galleries under the bark!<br />
