  1. So cool! I remember you posting a similar encounter last year and it totally blew my mind that these snakes get so close to the ocean to "fish". I had no idea!

    1. Thanks. There were actually two of these snakes down by the water. On another occasion while at a salt water lagoon we have seen a Wandering Garter snake searching around the rocks under water. Unfortunately, no camera at the time but we did watch for nearly five minutes while this snake would search, come up for air and return to its underwater search for food. Posted 6 years ago
