Upright Wild Ginger - Saruma henryi
Well, sorry for the bad photos, but I didn't intend to share these photos. I only took them because the plant reminded me of ginger and I wanted to find out what it was. It turns out that it is endemic to China and is listed as endangered.
Habitat: Growing (and I assume planted) near a forest edge

''Saruma'' is a monotypic genus of flowering plants in the family Aristolochiaceae containing the single species ''Saruma henryi''. It is endemic to China, where it occurs in Gansu, Guizhou, Hubei, Jiangxi, Shaanxi, and Sichuan.
