  1. I'm using an app that tries to detect moth IDs from an image and indeed it suggests "Asaphocrita". Full species it suggests is "Asaphocrita aphidiella", but not sure if its promising. Posted 6 years ago

        1. Does look like the other two I posted but a bit washed out. My initial id was Blastobasis glandulella but it's not matching any of the BG or MPG photos very well. Posted 6 years ago

''Asaphocrita aphidiella'' is a moth in the Blastobasidae family. It is found in North America, including British Columbia, Washington, California, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, Maine, New Hampshire and Ohio.

The wingspan is about 15 mm. The forewings are tawny reddish grey. The hindwings are shining, brownish grey with greenish and cupreous iridescence toward the base.

Larvae have been reared on the contents of ''Phylloxera'' galls on hickory.
