    2. Double-checked on B. Varipes, looks like a likely match. There's only a dozen or so Bibionidae species in the Netherlands and Varipes looks like the strongest match based on leg color. Thanks! Posted 6 years ago
      1. Nice! You're welcome :). A hint for next time...Robber flies typically have very spiky legs and a beard. Many bibionids tend to have fat, colorful femurs and they are fuzzy (but not spiky). Posted 6 years ago
