
Metallic Casebearer - Coleophora mayrella
TL: ~6-8 mm. Metallic, bronzy greenish FW wth a red sheen near the apex. It was tiny and so gorgeous!! Antennae are white-tipped and thick at the base. Host: Clover
Habitat: Attracted to an LED light (395 nm) in a semi-rural area.

The metallic coleophora moth is a moth of the family Coleophoridae. It is native to Europe and Armenia, but is an adventive species in the Nearctic ecozone, where it is found throughout the United States and southern Canada. It has also been recorded from New Zealand, Chile and Argentina.
