Dragon Blood Tree (Socotra Archipelago)

This bizarre tree is called the Dragon Blood Tree, which can only be found at the Socotra island (part of Yemen). Socotra is often referred to as the most alien place on earth.

The Dragon blood tree

Dracaena cinnabari, the Socotra dragon tree or dragon blood tree, is a dragon tree native to the Socotra archipelago in the Indian Ocean. It is so called due to the red sap that the trees produce.
