    1. Good question! Back then I had little to compare the taste with. Also the novelty factor, free food outdoors, may have had some influence on the taste. Posted 6 years ago

''Rubus spectabilis'' is a species of ''Rubus'' native to the west coast of North America from west central Alaska to California. In the Pacific Northwest of North America the berries can ripen from mid-June to late July.
