  1. And here comes Pohnpei, possibly my favorite (at least in terms of its natural riches), of the 4 main islands in the Federated States of Micronesia! This cute flycatcher was the sixth and last endemic I managed (out of the 7 found on that island), on the site of Nan Madol, the remarkable ruins of a thousand years old city by the sea... The Pohnpei flycatcher is a species of bird in the family Monarchidae. It is endemic to Micronesia and can be found on the Caroline Islands.
