    1. Yep, and the photo doesn't do it justice. These bugs are crazy and are hard to even clear out of the way - if they are mating. They are so consumed with copulation that they are oblivious to anything else. Posted 6 years ago

        1. It's too shiny bc of the flash. The bug was darker and had yellow fuzz. Super cute combo with those chubby, red femurs :) Posted 6 years ago

"Bibio femoratus" is commonly known as the March fly. "Bibio femoratus" is one of at least 90 types of March flies, which occur in the United States and Canada. In the southeastern United States, especially around the Gulf Coast, "Bibio femoratus" is known as the lovebug.
