Clanoptilus elegans - female tasting male excitators

A couple of Clanoptilus elegans busy at their fore-play ritual, with the female getting all excited by tasting the excitatory glands at the end of the male's wings.
Incidently, this was also the first couple of this species to be collected in the Netherlands(!)

  Thanks Christine, I have to admit this was in captivity with a male and female collected at the same "location" but not near each other, so it did help that I brought them together :o) Posted 6 years ago
