the odd trio Scarce Swallowtail (Iphiclides podalirius), Bumblebee and a Painted Lady (Vanessa cardui) enjoying the nectar of Eremurus spectabilis. <br />
note that they go to the withered flowers. the Eremurus is doing an IQ test to its pollinators: the open flowers are young with no pollen or nectar. only the withered flowers have those. and only bees and butterflies are smart enough to understand this. the flies go somewhere else.
